The Cub Scout Program

The adventure starts

The Cub Scout program is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth-grade. By welcoming both girls and boys into the program, more youth will have access to the character development and values-based leadership that Scouting promises and be better prepared for future success. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Childern grow up fast. Give your child a valuable gift by encouraging them to join Cub Scouting today. The time you invest in them today will make a difference in the person they become tomorrow.

Lion Cub Program.  The Lion Cubs program is designed with a minimum of organization. There are seven themes, built around each theme are family activities that you and your Lion Cub can do, and activities for the Lion Cub pride as a whole.

Tiger Cubs. First-graders join a Tiger Cub Den, where each scout works with an adult partner on the requirements to earn their Tiger Cub badge.

Wolf Cub Scouts. Second-graders graduate into a Wolf Den. They go to weekly den meetings on their own, but their families still help them work on the requirements for the Wolf badge.

Bear Cub Scouts. Third graders are members of a Bear Den. They also work with their families to do the requirements for the Bear badge, but childern this old have enough knowledge and skill to take on more of the work by themselves.

Webelos Scouts. Fourth and fifth graders become Webelos Scouts. Webelos Scouts do more advanced activities to get ready to graduate into Boy Scouting.

THE ARROW OF LIGHT. This is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn, and is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout Uniform. As a child works on the Arrow of Light, they get a chance to practice some Scout skills that they have already learned, earn more Activity Badges, and REALLY learn what a Boy Scout is all about.
